An Unusual Wedding Gift
Angela and Christopher Clough’s Christmas Wedding brought a musical request of a difference…

On December 15th Angela Leedham and Christopher Clough were married at St Barnabus Church in Littleborough Lancashire. Their wedding gift from Paul was a piece that Angela could walk down the aisle to. The couple were joined on the day by Wardle Anderson Brass – the band that Angela and Chris play for. Using the Christmas Carol “Christians Awake” Paul composed a fanfare and arrangement of the Carol that the band performed as Angela made her way down the aisle and as she stood next to Chris there was a big old ending to the piece that didn’t leave a dry eye in the church.

Not just happy with the piece, Angela thought she would utilise Paul’s skills further and asked him to play with the band and he did. Paul also brought in the help of fellow Black Dyke players Lee Rigg and John O’Brian who played with Andersons cornet section. The lads also joined in the celebrations for the rest of the day.

Many congratulations to Angela and Chris and may they have many happy years together.
